Who We Are
The Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, JKUAT, is a public university located in Juja, Kenya, approximately 36 kilometers northeast of Nairobi. It was established in 1981 as the Jomo Kenyatta College of Agriculture and Technology, and later upgraded to a university in 1994, through the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology Act, 1994. Currently, it operates under the Universities Act, which repealed the JKUAT Act in 2012. The university is mandated to carry out training, research, consultancy, innovation and entrepreneurship, and has a niche in Agriculture and Technology.

What We Do
The project establishes renewable energy-powered ECOHUBS to produce and market fish, Spirulina, and insects, optimizing eco-farming and post-harvest processes with AI and IoT. It upcycles fish-waste nutrients and creates new products, while training 240 youth and women and over five thousand community members in production, quality, safety, and business.
