Insects production
Sustainable production of crickets, locusts and black soldier flies to support fish feed production and manufacturing of human insect based foods especially snacks and upcycling of organic wastes from fish.
Spirulina Charaterization
Characterization of spirulina strains from local lakes in 6 African countries to enhance local production at the ECOHUBS to support the supply of high protein fish feeds and also used in creating human food products.
Fish Feeds
Innovative, sustainable fish feed from fish waste, spirulina and insects will be produced by the ECOHUBS to reduce cost of fish feeds, improve fish quality, enhance sustainable aquaculture and increase income generation by local youths and women.
Aquaculture
INNOECOFOOD employs a cutting-edge technology stack — combining artificial intelligence, Internet of Things sensors, renewable energy systems, and circular production principles. It aims to achieve Scoping of aquaculture practices in six countries and Design and innovative solar coolers and solar driers.
