Join us virtually to witness collaborative progress on sustainable food systems in Africa.
The INNOECOFOOD project is pleased to announce its 24-Month Consortium Meeting, scheduled from January 12th to 14th, 2026, in Accra, Ghana. This hybrid event, hosted by our partner CSIR-Food Research Institute (CSIR-FRI), will convene leading researchers, innovators, and stakeholders from across Africa and Europe to assess progress and strategize the next phase of our Horizon Europe-funded initiative.
About the Meeting:
This meeting represents a critical juncture in the project’s timeline. The agenda is packed with technical reviews, strategic planning, and field visits designed to translate research into tangible impact. Activities include:

Field Visits (Day 1): A firsthand look at the Ghana ECOHUB, Living Lab, and local agroecological production sites.

Technical Deep Dives (Days 2 & 3): Comprehensive reviews of all nine Work Packages (WPs), focusing on:

Establishment and operation of ECOHUBS and Living Labs.

Optimization of eco-farmed fish, spirulina, and insect production.

Development of sustainable feeds and post-harvest technologies.

Upcycling waste into nutrient-rich products.
-
Validation of product quality, safety, consumer acceptance, and environmental sustainability (LCA).

Training, dissemination, and development of sustainable business models.

Ethics and Collaboration: Dedicated sessions on project ethics and synergies with related initiatives.
Virtual Participation:
We believe in inclusive collaboration. The working sessions on January 13th and 14th will be accessible online via Microsoft Teams. Partners not attending in are invited to participate online.
